CHW recently joined HCA Florida Healthcare, Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI), members of the project team, and community leaders last week to break ground the new HCA Florida Gainesville Freestanding Emergency Department and Hospital 50-acre campus, located at the Archer Road and I-75 interchange.
We are honored to be part of this regionally significant project that will contribute to the healthcare industry’s growth and offer access to life-saving care to all surrounding communities. Our professional’s expertise in client advocacy, regulatory entitlements, and concept design development, ensure the new facility is designed and constructed to meet the needs of North Central Florida for generations into the future.
HCA’s groundbreaking ceremony and 50th anniversary event mark the beginning of the $192 million two-phase project. Initially Phase I will be a 10,860-square-foot, single-story Freestanding Emergency Department that will offer patients and staff a facility with 11-beds, a pharmacy, trauma care, laboratories, offices, and more. Phase 2 will be a 195,000-square-foot, 90-bed hospital, with surgery and diagnostic areas, a rehabilitation unit, intensive care units, and respiratory therapy space, all within a medical campus setting with outdoor amenities and sanctuary space. The combined facilities will create hundreds of new jobs in the healthcare industry and provide expert care to thousands of patients when open this year and in the near future.
The new HCA Gainesville Freestanding Emergency Department is slated to open by the end of this year and HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital is anticipated to be finished in 2025.
