It’s International Women in Engineering Day! Organized by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) and celebrating its 9th year, #INWED plays a vital role in encouraging more young women and girls to take up engineering careers.

There are over 110,000 Civil Engineers currently employed in the United States. 16.4% are women (bls.gov). Through the WES’ mission to recognize women in engineering, the field has become more popular, and more women have entered engineering disciplines over the past three years.
