The Data Science and Information Technology Building (DSIT) will house faculty and researchers from the College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, and the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering who specialize in analyzing massive amounts of data to tackle complicated problems. The facility will also be the new home of UF Informatics Institute whose focus is on interdisciplinary data challenges in fields ranging from health care to agriculture.
The first of its kind, the DSIT Building will consist of two co-located, semi-autonomous interconnected building wings. Each wing, each with four or five levels, the approximate total size of 260,000 GSF, state-of-the-art multidisciplinary facility with visions for a “signature architecture, program intent, and sustainability,” would be engaged in the engineering, healthcare, and bioinformatics programs.
CHW is providing professional civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and urban design services.
